was blind but now I see....

Back in December Savannah was diagnosed legally blind in her left eye. Since then we have been doing patchwork to try and get her brain to turn her left eye back on. The only thing she could see back in December with her left eye was the big E on the eye chart. How she didn't know it for nine years is a mystery to us all. She said she thought everybody had to open both eyes to see good.

Today we went for a follow-up eye doctor visit and the news was excellent! She can see almost perfect out of the left eye. The doctor said by this time next year she probably will not even need glasses at all. I told the doctor I was going to cry. I never dreamed her eye would get that much better in 6 months. However, last night when I was tucking Savannah in bed we prayed and my prayer was that Savannah's eye would be completely healed and that she wouldn't even need glasses anymore. I prayed God I know you are the ultimate physician and nothing is impossible with you. I even thought when I prayed that maybe I shouldn't ask so much in front of Savannah. I thought to myself, what if the news tomorrow is bad, Savannah might think God doesn't answer such huge request. I am incredibly humbled by this. He truly has healed her. Our God is all powerful and sovereign. Nothing is too big for Him. We called on His name and He has answered our prayers. Thank you Lord Jesus!
