A St, Patricks day I will never forget!

Thursday afternoon. March 16th, I started having a pain in my upper abdomen that felt kind of like indigestion and then that night it moved to the lower right quadrant of my abdomen. I wasn't feeling well at all but I just assumed it was a stomach virus. Allen decided to look up on the internet about appendicitis, so we were a little concerned it was that since I had all the symptoms, but I went to sleep anyway. Well the pain was still there Friday morning and worse. I called the doctor and she said if I could get there in 30 min. he could see me. That is the fastest I have ever gotten ready to go somewhwere in my life. Long story short she agreed that she thought it was appendicitis, but wnted me to get a CT Scan to confirm. And it did. My appendix was 2 times larger that it was supposed to be. So off to a surgeon to consult. He said I want you to have surgery in 1 hour. Well it took a little longer than that but not much and I was on the operating table. I was so nervous. The surgery went great but when I woke up in recovery I was in some serious pain and very sick to my stomach. By 8:00pm I was in my room for the night with Mom, Dad, and Allen and boy was I talking like someone on serious drugs. Allen slept on a pull out bed in the room with me all night. He is the best husband in the world. I didn't get any sleep that night hardly at all for various reasons but now at 10:30 am I am finally home recovering. Thank you God for seeing me through this painful time. God is good!
