Allen was in the hospital unexpectedly this week for three days. He thought he was having a heart attack on Tuesday afternoon and had his client drove him to the emergency room. I met him there about 20 min. after he had arrived and the doctor was seeing him. By then the pain had ceased but they wanted to do a CT scan to make sure it wasn’t an aortic dissection (like my dad had) because that is what his symptoms sounded like. The doctor came back with the results and said his aorta was fine but it looked like he had something seriously wrong with his esophagus. It was unlike anything he had ever seen as long as he had been practicing. He said that the radiologist had suggested he be admitted for further testing because a lot of times malignancies present themselves this way. He repeated the word malignancies at least 3 time so as you can imagine fear and worry took over our every thought. Long story short, After 2 days of a lot of tests, prayers and a biopsy we are home from the hospital and Allen is fine. No Cancer. Praise the Lord. He is good.
It turned out to be an infection and esophagitis. The doctor said he was very perplexed. I know it was because of all the prayers. Thanks to everyone who prayed, called, came by, and especially to Peggy and Kim for being a home away from home for Savannah and Christian. It is always amazing and humbling to me to see how much our friends and family truly do care. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful circle of brothers and sisters in Christ.
Now Allen is at work trying to make up for lost time because he has the biggest trial of his career coming up on Monday, as if he hasn’t had enough stress already. Please play for him during this trial that God will let justice be served and !
